Walkers will see lots of wildlife on this easy one-hour walk around Whites Hill Reserve, guided by members of the Whites Hill – Pine Mountain Community Group. Gibson Island (industrial precint), Paringa Rd, Murarrie9am-11.30am. Local industries are invited to contribute to the environmental and social health of this industrial region and the significant estuarine areas of Aquarium Passage. Celebrate international Earth Day by providing much needed attention to this key area. Bulimba Creek Catchment is hosting this clean-up event and launching an exciting revegetation and rehabilitation project for this industrial precinct. Your involvement will help: protect threatened wildlife including nesting birds, mammals and marine species | protect the mangrove-lined waterway from erosion and sedimentation | prevent sedimentation and potential pollution from overall industrial precinct and roadway. Come and help create unique and eco-friendly bags! No sewing skills required - there's a variety of non-sewing tasks such as pinning, cutting, ironing, sorting fabric and making cups of tea! Everyone welcome. We'd love it if you could RSVP so we can get an idea of numbers. Donations of fabric also very welcome.
