Dew St, Runcorn8am-10am. Join the Dew St Runcorn Bushcare Group for this working bee. Hand weeding (vine removal) and plant recovery followed by morning tea. Walkers will see lots of wildlife on this easy one-hour walk around Whites Hill Reserve, guided by members of the Whites Hill – Pine Mountain Community Group. Join with your local community in caring for a waterway and parkland. Enjoy some basic bushcare with B4C at this family friendly session. Weeding, rescuing plants from vines and weed, planning revegetation and appreciating a healthy small waterway which has native fish present. It's the start of a BCC supported bushcare group application.
Wear protective work clothing (long sleeves, long trousers, sturdy footwear, hat and garden gloves (we'll also have spare gloves). Wear sunscreen and insect repellent.

Please join Brandon Rd Bushcare Group for their monthly working bee. No experience necessary! They meet on the second Sunday of the month. Come along and enjoy the company of this hard-working group of volunteers, contribute to the maintenance of the creek and park, and share in morning tea. Wear a hat, covered shoes and sunscreen. Meet near the pedestrian footbridge over the creek. Brandon Rd, opposite Winston St.

Minnippi ParklandsWe're excited to be part of the Peaks to Points Festival again this year. Join us for an evening spotlight walk through Minnippi Parklands. Bulimba Creek - Preston Rd Park, pontoon under Meadowlands Rd, carpark is opposite 163 Meadowlands RdThe Bulimba Creek Paddle Against Plastic is sponsored by Seaworld Foundation and Healthy Land & Water. Bring your paddle craft - kayaks, canoes, SUPs, inflatable boats, whatever you have, come on down and help to clean the creek. If you don't have a craft, contact Ocean Crusaders as they have a few spare available, or you can simply clean along the banks. This is a child friendly event - bring the family to help them understand that keeping our waterways clean is essential for the wellbeing of marine life. There will be a BBQ lunch available for volunteers at the end of cleaning. The event is free, however please pre-register through the tickets section in order to sign the waiver to save time and paper on the day and to allow for catering.
