But there are so many more meals you can harvest from your garden, just by saving the seed and growing your own. At this workshop, Linda Brennan will introduce you to heirloom varieties and why you’ll love them more than commercial hybridised vegies. You’ll learn the techniques of seed saving, allowing you to grow for free. Find out how to set up your own seed bank so you can hand the legacy of your best vegies to future generations of people in the same family or locality. You’ll begin your own little patch of vegies with seed Linda shares with you from her own garden, sowing them into recycled paper pots. Morning tea included. Workshop funded by the BCC Cultivating Community Gardens Grant. $5. Places limited. Bookings essential via above link.
