Donate and Make a Difference: Support the Bulimba Creek Environment Fund

Greater Gliders, Spotted-tail Quolls, Koalas, Phascogales, Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies, Flinders Stink Bush and Eewah Plum all have one thing in common: they’re threatened with extinction — and protected on B4C’s Nature Refuge properties.

With help from the Bulimba Creek Environment Fund, we can continue vital work to protect these species and their habitats at Mount Elliot and Mount Barney–Yamahra Creek Nature Refuges. This includes weed control, endangered species surveys, fire trail maintenance, and more.

These refuges don’t just protect wildlife — they connect critical habitat from the Bulimba Creek Catchment to the World Heritage-listed Border Ranges.

Your donation supports:

  • On-ground work at Mount Elliot and Mount Barney–Yamahra Creek

  • Rural Fire Brigade support near our refuges — our frontline in emergencies

  • Endangered species surveys and invasive weed management

  • Youth engagement through Intrepid Landcare

  • A 17-year partnership with Gulf Rivers Landcare, linking urban and remote landcare through hands-on exchanges

  • Catchment support via Brisbane Catchments Network’s project officer

  • Environmental monitoring including water quality and bird surveys

  • Bushcare and corridor projects like the Minnippi Wildlife Corridor Group

  • Revegetation and restoration at key Industrial Landcare sites including Gibson Island and Oxbow Wetlands
