IS ON AGAIN!!!
Are you keen to get muddy and messy for a good cause?
Bulimba Creek Oxbow and its associated wetlands are a unique mix of freshwater, brackish and estuarine habitats that support a diverse range of native plants and wildlife.
Unfortunately, due to its downstream location and challenging access, this area has accumulated large amounts of plastic, polystyrene and other rubbish that does not belong in our waterways or Moreton Bay.
Thanks to support from the Queensland Government’s DESI Litter and Marine Debris Clean-Up and Prevention Program, we have a plan.
We are seeking adventurous and experienced volunteers to help tackle this challenging clean-up. Please read the full event description before registering.
Meeting Time: 9:00am, Wednesday 22nd July
Meeting Location: Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee, 21 Wright Street, Carindale (then car pool to the site).
Destination: Bulimba Creek Oxbow
Important Event Information
This is a challenging, hands-on clean-up at Bulimba Creek Oxbow. The site has difficult access, uneven and muddy ground, and no toilet facilities.
Volunteers will carpool from B4C’s Sustainability Centre, as access to the site is through a locked gate. Please only register if you can commit to attending on the day.
