Landcare for Singles Brisbane aims to create a platform where environmentally-conscious singles can meet other singles, as well as take part in restoring the biodiversity of our community.
This initial planting at the site, on February 14, is part of the ground-breaking “Brisbane River Corridor Project”, a Brisbane Catchments Network Inc. initiative, which is high profile landscaping and protection of the Brisbane River foreshores.
From this event we hope to generate interest and involvement in caring for and maintaining the health and biodiversity of our city. Over 80 people participated in the event with 350 plants put in.
Thank you to Rotary for providing the amazing breakfast spread on the day, Param from Atma Yoga for leading the yoga, Dane Adamo for providing the music, Dom Jack from Slackline Academy for ‘teaching us the ropes’ and Mr Coffee for ensuring everyone was suitably caffinated.
